Jab main chhota tha, shayad duniya bahut badi hua karti thi,
Mujhe yaad hai mere gharse school tak ka vo raasta,
Kya kya nahi tha wahan,
Chaat ke thele,
jalebi ki dukaan,
Barf ke gole, sab kuchh.

Ab wahan, mobile shop, video parlour hain,
Fir bhi sab suna hai,
Shayad ab duniya simat rahi hai.

Jab main chhota tha shayad shaamein bahut lambi hua karti thi,
Main hath mein patang ki dor liye ghanton uda karta tha,
Wo lambi cycle race, vo bachpan ke khel,
Vo har shaam thak kar choor ho jana,

Ab shaam nahi hoti, Din dhalta hai aur sidhe raat ho jati hai,
Shayad waqt simat raha hai,

Jab main chhota tha shayad dosti bahut gahri hua karti thi,
Din bhar vo hujoom banakar khelna,
Vo doston ke ghar ka khana,
Vo ladkiyon ki baatein, vo saath mein rona,

Ab bhi kai dost hain par dosti jane kahan hai,
Jab bhi traffic signal par milte hain, Hi ho jati hai,
Aur apne apne raaste chal dete hain,
Holi, Diwali, new year par bar sms aa jate hain,
Shayad ab rishte badal rahe hain,

jab main chhota tha khel bhi ajeeb hua karte the,
Chhupan chhupai, langdi tang, tippi tippi top ,
Aur ab internet , office se fursat hi nahi milti,
Shayad zindagi badal rahi hai,

Zindagi ka sabse bada sach yahi hai,
Jo aksar kabristan ke baahar board par likha hota hai,
Manjil to yahi thi bus zindagi guzar gayi meri yahan aate aate,

Zindagi ka lamha bahut chhota sa hai,
Kal ki koi bunyad nahai hai aur aane wala kal sirf sapne mein hai,

Ab bach gaye is pal mein,
Tamannaon se bhari is zindagi mein hum sirf bhaag rahe hain

Kuch raftar dheeme karo mere dost,
Aur is zinadagi ko jiyo, khub jiyo mere dost.

Jab jagta hai insan tho kismat soti hai
insan jispar apna haq khudse jyada samajta hai
wo amanat aksar kisi aur ki hoti ha....
