Dear brothers and sisters.. We are all from diff states, countries.. We are in diff tradition and culture... And, And, And, I think the Marriage is the one of the unforgettable occasion.. My native is Pondicherry.. Our culture is 95% similar to Tamilnadu.. Hmmm, before Marriage, The Parents of Bride and Bridegroom, will exchange their daughter's/son's details of Birth time, Star sign, zodiac etc which are important to astrology.. Then they will approach famous astrologers and ask about the Matching in all astrological aspects.. If it is an acceptable one, Bridegroom's family members will go to Bride's home with sweet, fruits etc.. The Bride will offer Tea/coffee to all.. Then, if The Bridegroom wish to speak with Bride, they will be allowed to speak about 10min.. And They will speak about the dowry (gold, two wheeler, and all things for an individual home) Then, after few days, Bride's family members(except Bride) will go to Bridegroom's home.. This is formality one and the Date will be fixed for Marriage engagement.. (12 years ago)

During engagement function, Bridegroom's important relatives and Friends And Bride's important relatives and friends will meet in a marriage hall or anyone's House.. They will fix the marriage date and venue.. And Mainly who will pay all the expenditures during marriage.. Mostly It'll be shared by both Bride and Bridegroom's family.. Then they will give invitations to all.. During eve of marriage day (I mean previous day evening) all relatives will assemble in the marriage hall and they will do some formalities like applying sandal on chin of both Bride and Bridegroom.. Ha.. Ha.. Then next day morning, a Bhramin person will execute the marriage and he'll chant something in sanskrit.. Then, our Bridegroom will Marry the Bride by bind the Divine and Holy Yellow rope(Maangalyam) on Our Bride's neck with Three Knots.. During this time, our Traditional Musics will be played.. Then everyone will present the gifts, money to Bride and Bridegroom.. Thats All.. (12 years ago)
